Christian Horner stings Ferrari and flunks Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc

During an interview given to the microphones of "talkSPORT", Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, among other topics discussed, spoke bluntly about Ferrari&#39s decision to bet on Lewis Hamilton as Charles Leclerc&#39s teammate starting in 2025. In addition, the British manager wanted to warn his new driver Liam Lawson about his relationship with Max Verstappen.

"In F1, soì as in soccer, you can’t play with two spikes of weight, because they could end up stepping on each other’s toes. Ferrari, in 2025, will be in a similar situation with two absolute top drivers like Hamilton and Leclerc who will end up taking points off each other" began the Red Bull team principal.

"In Maranello they will have to be good at supporting both drivers, but that sometimes becomes a reason for division within a team. We have a different approach than they do and that makes the competition very fascinating" added the British manager.

"Verstappen è the most valuable asset in F1. We are perhaps a little bit different from other teams on communication strategy, so we prefer to be clear from the start with our drivers. Max è our main driver: if Liam could get close to him, that would be great, but our priority; è is to work to try to make Verstappen" win, concluded Christian Horner.

With Red Bull’s decision to promote Liam Lawson to replace Sergio Perez and the subsequent arrival of Isack Hadjar to Racing Bulls alongside Yuki Tsunoda, the driver grid for the 2025-2026 season è has been officially finalized.
