The probable lineups
It will be the Monday evening challenge between Inter and Como, with kickoff at 8:45 p.m. at the stadium 'Giuseppe Meazza' in Milan, to close the long program of the seventeenth day of Serie A. A challenge that has been missing in the league since March 16, 2003, when the Nerazzurri beat the Como team 4-0 (Vieri scored with a double, Batistuta and Di Biagio).
Although currently 6 points behind first-place Atalanta, Inter have played two fewer games, the one staged Monday night and the one to be made up with Fiorentina. Simone Inzaghi, in order to keep up with the orobici, is aiming to beat Como with the usual 3-5-2, fielding the best lineup available: in attack, Thuram and Lautaro Martinez are paired, the latter dry, in A, since Nov. 3 (he was decisive in the 1-0 win at Venezia).
On the other hand, Como is experiencing an up-and-down season but comes from three useful results in a row, the draws (1-1 and 2-2) against Monza and Venezia and the 2-0 success, accrued in the final, against Roma. Cesc Fabregas, coach of the Larians, is relying on a two-midfield lineup (Sergi Roberto and Da Cunha), with Strefezza, Nico Paz and Fadera supporting the'only central striker, Andrea Belotti.
