During an interview given to the microphones of "Eurosport", former Swedish tennis player Mats Wilander, among other topics, tried to predict who will be the leading player in 2025 between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. In addition, the former world number one è indulged in a bold prediction regarding the potential of the South Tyrolean and the Murcian.
"I am convinced that in the end Sinner will be able to win more Grand Slam tournaments than Alcaraz. There will beà a minimum of two tournaments by the South Tyrolean. However, Jannik and Carlos should not let their guard down, as I think Novak has what it takes to win at least one more Slam" began the former Swedish tennis player.
" Given the chance to complete the Career Grand Slam I am sure Alcaraz will play better than ever at the Australian Open. This season I would like to see Rune triumph in a Slam, it would be nice to have another Scandinavian winner" added the'former world number one.
"Jannik and Carlos are coming to this 2025 with a lot of confidence and ambition, so it would not be out of the question for one of them to win all four Major events in the same year" concluded Mats Wilander.
