Fikayo Tomori increasingly in the balance: AC Milan runs for cover
Milan on Mosquera for post Tomori
Fikayo Tomori and AC Milan are increasingly distant. After playing a starring role in winning the Scudetto in the 2021-2022 season and being one of the irreplaceables for Stefano Pioli, the English defender did not è manage to carve out the same space with Paulo Fonseca, who preferred him to the pair composed of Gabbia and Thiaw. Given the scant minutes he has had in this first part of the season, in fact, the hypothesis of his farewell in the January market would be more and more probable.
According to a report by "La Gazzetta dello Sport", several Italian and other clubs would come forward on the former Chelsea player. For quite some time now, the 1997 class has allegedly been in the sights of Juventus, which will be called upon to reinforce its back pack complicit with the serious injuries to Bremer and Cabal. In addition to the Bianconeri, however, in recent days also Napoli and several Premier League clubs, Brighton and West Ham above all, would have inquired about the player.
Tomori, for his part, would not yet open to a hypothetical farewell to AC Milan, which would be willing to negotiate the sale of the defender for a sum around 20-25 million euros. According to "La Rosea", in addition, the Rossoneri would have already identified the English central’s replacement, namely Cristhian Mosquera of Valencia, who accomplice the contract expiring in 2026 would have a valuation around 25 million euros.
Another priority for the Milanese club in the winter soccer market session will be the purchase in midfield of a viable alternative to Fofana and Reijnders. The main profiles followed by Moncada and Ibrahimovic would be those of Monza’s Bondo and Genoa’s Frendrup. A possible assault, however, will depend on the disposals the club manages to make in the January market.
