Herman Mandole: "We need to change face"

After the sharp loss to Pallacanestro Reggiana, Varese Basketball prepares to return to the court for the last game of 2024. The red and white team è awaits the delicate challenge with Napoli Basket, valid for the thirteenth day of the LBA, scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the Itelyum Arena.

"È it was quite a complicated week – admitted coach Herman Mandole to the official channels of the Lombard club – not only because of the Reggio Emilia result where, especially in the second half, we were not good, but also because between Monday and Tuesday we found out about Sykes’ injury. Two things we definitely did not want".

"Tomorrow we return to the field so we have to turn the page and show a completely different face from last week’s – added the Argentine coach -. With Napoli I expect a match with a lot of tension, especially at the’beginning; whoever will start with more concentration and with more toughness will have’an extra chance’to win. The game then however will beà long and ità will be important to be able to do the right things without feeling the pressure of making mistakes".

For the challenge with the Parthenopeans Mandole will also be able to count on new acquisition Desonta Bradford, a left-handed guard class '96, announced by the red and white team on Thursday. For him this is his second experience in the LBA after the year he spent in Trento in the 2021-22 season; earlier this year he played in Serie A2 with the jersey of Piacenza.
