Mario Balotelli at a crossroads: the Brescia striker has reportedly received a tempting offer from abroad and could say goodbye to Genoa in the coming days, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. According to reports in La Rosea, the Mexican side Cruz Azul have come forward, and Mario is reportedly thinking about it.
There is a clause in Balotelli's contract that would allow him to part ways with the Ligurian club by Dec. 31, and thus end his experience with the Grifone immediately after a few months.
The Mexicans reportedly offered the player a two-million-euro per season contract, significantly higher than the 400,000 euros he now receives at Genoa. Balotelli will make a decision by Tuesday, the last day of the year.
At the moment SuperMario has not had any luck at Genoa, with just 57 minutes played in 6 games: his suboptimal physical condition has not allowed him to make more of an impact at the moment, and the former AC Milan and Inter Milan player is behind in Vieira’s hierarchies compared to Pinamonti. In the last game against Napoli, Balotelli had, however, shown signs of awakening, twice touching the equalizing goal in the final minutes of the match.
