Parma-Monza 2-1

It ends with the score of 2-1 in favor of Parma the salvation challenge on Saturday afternoon against Monza, a very high intensity match, decided only at 98'; by the goal of Valenti, on the developments of the last corner of the match. Bitter debut, to say the least, for Salvatore Bocchetti on the bench of the Brianzoli, who are left with only regrets for a point lost right near the triple whistle.

Under the guidance of the new coach, who took over from Alessandro Nesta in recent days, Monza started off very strong and within a handful of seconds came close to scoring with Maldini, hit a crossbar with the same son d’arte and went in on goal with Ciurria: goal annulled after a not short Var consultation. Then Monza scores again, but è another irregular goal. Mihaila wakes Parma from the torpor (good Turati) and then è also good Suzuki on Caprari.

Monza continues to play the game, Izzo also tries: out. The first yellow è just for the same defender. Lots of mistakes in the final half, we go to rest with untouched nets because on Birindelli saves Suzuki: come out among the whistles the hosts of home. Everything changes forò at 56': contact between Pablo Marì and Coulibaly, after Var review the referee awards penalty and second yellow for the defender. Hernani scores from the penalty spot, Monza will play in ten the rest of the match.

At 58' comes the third goal cancelled out for Monza (this time to Djuric, for offside), while at 74' a surreal scene is experienced at the 'Tardini', with the confused La Penna conceding a second penalty to Parma after a contact in the box between Birindelli and Camara. Even more confused than the whistle è Benedyczak: the referee blows the whistle because he's called back by Var and he kicks the penalty, among other things beating Turati who leans in to parry.

The situation seems desperate for Monza, which però at the 85'85' finds the equalizer with Pedro Pereira, who entered a few seconds earlier in place of Birindelli: the Portuguese è good at anticipating Coulibaly on Martins’ cross and beating Suzuki for what seems to be the goal that is worth a very important point in the salvation key.

At the end of the very long recovery assigned by La Penna comes però the 2-1: è in fact, 98' when the ball crossed by Mihaila is hit by header, somehow, by Lautaro Valenti, who mocks Turati and gives a success that makes Fabio Pecchia’s team breathe not a little, thus rising to 18 points in the standings. Monza, on the other hand, remains at the bottom of the table at 10.
