Filip Stankovic increasingly starring in Venice: now Inter trembles
A young star of the league is in danger of never returning to base.
Filip Stankovic has represented a bet by Inter on the future for years, with the young Serbian who is touring Italy and Europe waiting to take the Nerazzurri door. The excellent performance he is providing in Venice, however, risks complicating the meneghina management’s forward plans. Especially after a great test like the one in Naples.
In the away match in Campania, which ended in a difficult 1-0 victory for the hosts, Stankovic è himself was one of the best on the field, keeping Venezia’s hopes of picking up at least a point in Naples alight until the triple whistle. This very fact could induce the lagoon management to invest in its goalkeeper, taking advantage of a clause that Inter has inserted in his contract.
Stankovic è in fact in Venice on an onerous loan with the right of redemption at 2 million euros, but there is the possibility that this right will turn into an obligation if certain sporting conditions are reached. And precisely this è on the one hand the goal of the orange and green, on the other hand the fear of the Nerazzurri.
What could occur between now and the end of the season è in fact, that Stankovic would become to all intents and purposes a player owned by Venezia, and for a sum significantly lower than the value that his card has acquired in the meantime. In all this Inter would be left with the right to obtain 50 percent of the proceeds of any resale of him, with the risk, however, of squandering what is turning out to be a real treasure.
