Milan, draw with Roma è fatal for Paulo Fonseca

All that is missing is the official announcement but the 1-1 draw with Roma has made AC Milan take the decision to relieve coach Paulo Fonseca.

According to reports on X by Gianluca Di Marzio, Sky Sport’s soccer market expert, the club’communicated the exoneration to Fonseca immediately after the match. Thus ends the Portuguese coach’s adventure after 18 league games.

Tomorrow, Di Marzio adds, Sergio Conceicao, also a Portuguese, will be the new Rossoneri coach. Fonseca confirmed the communication of the exoneration to Peppe Di Stefano, correspondent of Sky Sport, coming out of the garage of San Siro.

Fonseca in Serie A coached Roma from 2019 to 2021, collecting a fifth and a seventh place finish. Conceicao, a former Lazio, Parma and Inter Milan player, coached Porto from 2017 to 2024 winning 3 championships, a Super Cup, a League Cup and 4 domestic cups.
