Djokovic-Kyrgios, pact of steel: understanding both on the court and on Sinner

Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios put on a show in their debut as a pair at the Brisbane tournament. The former world number one and the Australian tennis player could not be more different but they showed great chemistry both during the match they won against Erler and Mies and in the press conference, when they agreed on the Jannik Sinner case.

"I want to thank Nick for playing with me, è it was a pleasure. I haven&#39t played many doubles in my career, especially in the last five years, I just followed what Nick told me", Djokovic said satisfied.

Big smiles also for Kyrgios, who appeared in good form: "I try to be professional, I don’t know which Kyrgios people want to see, whether the one who breaks rackets or the one who is more focused on winning… I try to find a balance", he said making Nole smile.

Djokovic about Kyrgios and the statements about Sinner had expressed himself this wayì "Nick è has been very outspoken on some issues, particularly on the doping case involving Jannik and he touched on some of the right points when it comes to transparency and inconsistency with protocols and case-by-case comparisons. There have been many players in the past and even currently who have been suspended without even undergoing doping tests, but only for skipping them and not reporting their whereabouts, and other lower level players, on the other hand, are still waiting for over a year for their case to be resolved. The point è this, not whether Sinner took the banned substance intentionally or not".
