Nick Kyrgios spoke on Instagram after his defeat to Frenchman Mpetshi Perricard in Brisbane: "What a battle brother. Nice words from you at the final handshake, you will do great things".

In the comments forò it è opened the debate when some followers prodded him: "Does your wrist hurt becauseé you have been too much with the phone in your hand calling Jannik Sinner 'second of service', 'doped' and 'grinch'?". The response to Kyrgios’ venom was not long in coming: "Not enough clostebol".

Another commentary pointed out how Sinner had overshadowed him in less than a year and again the great accuser did not è remain silent:"How did he do it?". "I have not yet failed any drug test" the final answer to a "Kyrgios defeated 7-6 6-7 7-6 by a clay court specialist 10 years younger than him".
