Busto Arsizio è in emergency but still beats Vallefoglia

Stronger than Vallefoglia, stronger than the fever that knocked out as many as four players: Eurotek UYBA Busto Arsizio won a very painful match 3 sets to 1 at the end of a heart-stopping fourth set in which they found themselves cancelling 3 set-balls that would have stretched the contest to the tie-break (29-27). The butterflies, today without Kunzler, Lualdi, Morandi and Scola, approached the match well, winning a one-sided first set at 11, with Olaya starting from the first minute. As the minutes passed, the quality of Vallefoglia, led by Bici (15 points) and Lee (14) è came out and the match è was super balanced. After conceding 1-1, UYBA è compacted and had the ability to suffer, prevailing, as usual, thanks to a great choral effort orchestrated by a bubbly Boldini. Obossa (16 points) and top scorer, Piva (15) the mostù continuous in the offensive phase, Van Avermaet (8, MVP) and Sartori (10), decisive powerhouses in the hot moments are the happiest notes of the day. But not only that: Olaya (13 and out in the final due to an eye injury) replaced Kunzler with honor, Pelloni at stellar levels in the second line ensured good receptions (66%) and many replays. 

In the end è big celebration: UYBA wins three golden points and rises to 29 in the standings.

Starting six: Busto Arsizio starts with Boldini – Obossa, Sartori – Van Avermaet, Piva – Kunzler, Pelloni free. Pistola responds with Kobzar – Bici, Candi – Weitzel, Giovannini – Lee, De Bortoli libero.
In the first set Obossa gets off to a great start in attack and serving (4-1), while Van Avermaet closes the beautiful exchange leading to 5-1. Sartori and Olaya (doubles) extend (10-4), Obossa walls the super 12-5. Sartori beats well and propitiates the 15-6, Boldini of first intention makes it 17-8, Piva signs the 18-8 ace, Frosini (just entered, with UYBA temporarily giving up the role setter) shoots the 20-8 bomb and the set è now closed. Olaya (5 points with 75% in the game) exalts herself (24-10) and it soon ends 25-11. 

In the second set Vallefoglia starts off aggressively with Bici (4-6), but two walls (Boldini + Olaya) put everything back on even footing (6-6); è again Bici tries to revive the Marche women (8-10), while Lee and Candi (ace) find the +4 (8-12). Piva and two straight walls by Van Avermaet keep the butterflies afloat (12-14), but Giovannini soon re-establishes the distance (12-16). Bici wins 13-18, Obossa tries again (16-19), but in the final Lee (7 points in the set) and Weitzel’s wall effectively close the score (17-23). The guests close 17-25

In the third set Piva è inspired (3-3), while Sartori walls the ball that is worth the UYBA lead (5-4), but Busto's attack error gives 7-9 to the guests. Candi at the wall confirms (9-10), Olaya takes advantage of a super defense by Pelloni to overtake again (11-10), while Piva in lob makes it 12-10. Lee’s serve puts the score back on even (13-13), then UYBA re-accelerates with Piva and Boldini (17-13); Sartori (6 points in the set) closes the nice exchange leading to 18-13, Vallefoglia messes up and gives 20-14 launching the butterflies to the 25-16 signed by Piva. 

Fourth set: Piva and Van Avermaet’s wall try to launch the butterflies (5-3), Olaya stretches (6-3); Boldini under net wins the 8-4, then Candi by wall shortens (8-7) until Giovannini draws (ace for 9-9). There'è to suffer but Obossa signs the 12-11 double and the 13-11 ace, while Weitzel and Lee give 14-11 and 15-11. Weitzel and Lee shorten (15-14), with the American finding a tie thanks to the 15-15 ace. Piva reciprocates in the same coin and è 17-15, Giovannini shoots on the shaft 18-15, but with Weitzel service è parity again (18-18). The guests overtake but Olaya ties it at 20-20. UYBA chases but there'è (23-23 Piva), Obossa nullifies a set-ball (24-24), makes a super ace (25-24), but then the red-and-whites have to cancel two set balls with Piva and Van Avermaet. In the agitated finale, in which UYBA cancels another set-ball with Obossa and in which Olaya has to give way to Frosini due to a blow to an eye, Sartori and Obossa decide (29-27).
