French Super Cup: Dembélé makes Paris Saint-Germain happy in full recovery

Thanks to a goal by Dembélé in 92’, Paris Saint-Germain triumphed in the French Super Cup, beating Monaco 1-0 in the match played in Doha. Luis Enrique’s team started better, hitting a crossbar with Doue and touching the lead with Dembélé. On 30’ Vitinha also came close to scoring, while Akliouche è the first from Monaco to seriously engage Donnarumma. Before halftime, Lee Kang-In attempted a shot for the Parisians on two occasions, but Monaco held out and the first half ended 0-0.

In the second half, Ben Seghir put the PSG defense in trouble, and shortly afterward è the post denied Vanderson the joy of goal. With a quarter of an hour to go, Hakimi came close to taking the lead with a conclusion brilliantly repelled by Kohn. However, at the’last gasp, PSG’s final forcing proves decisive: former Napol Fabian Ruiz serves a perfect assist to Dembélé, who scores the winning goal and delivers the Super Cup to the Parisians.

With this success, Luis Enrique opens 2025 by winning the 13th domestic Super Cup trophy for PSG, the third in a row. For Hutter’s team, however, there remains the bitterness of a defeat that came only in the dying minutes.
