Lecce and Genoa stop at the posts

After Cagliari’s salvation blow in Monza, Sunday of the 19th day of Serie A continued with another draw, the third in the last round of the first leg, with a white-net draw between Lecce and Genoa. At the Via del Mare, in fact, it ends 0-0 between the Salentini and Ligurians.
First chance for Lecce on 13': Dorgu tries with the right from a defiladed position but Leali saves in bagher. Genoa responded with a nice invitation from Pinamonti for Thorsby but Jean è s closing providential. On 22' the hosts came close to taking the lead with Krstovic hitting the post with a right-footed shot from the edge. In the final (double) woodwork also for the guests first with Thorsby slamming the crossbar from two steps and then with Pinamonti hitting the crossbar again with a volley.
At the beginning of the second half è again Dorgu to trouble the Grifone with a nice left-footed shot from inside the area but Leali was still ready. Ten minutes later the Rossoblù responded with Pinamonti but his right-footed shot from outside the box was blocked by Falcone. Giampaolo throws Pierotti, Helgason, Karlsson and Rebic into the fray but the result does not change.
With this draw Lecce and Genoa rise to 17 and 20 points respectively. The Giallorossi hook Cagliari in third last place, while the Rossoblù bypass Verona and move momentarily to tenth place paired with Roma, Torino and Empoli.
