Boris Becker, hint to Carlos Alcaraz for duel with Jannik Sinner
Becker’s words
Boris Becker è returned to talk about Carlos Alcaraz in a podcast held with Andrea Petkovic: "He had a bad schedule in 2024, because heé played too much. Carlos è a star on the court, in a good way, a real artist. But he should play a few less tournaments, not more; otherwise then we risk seeing an average Alcaraz".
"Maybe some rivals è happy about this, but we fans always want him to be 100 percent", added the'former world number one always referring to what remains Jannik Sinner's first rival, for ranking but also in the big tournaments including the Australian Open that is about to begin.
"I know well that Juan Carlos Ferrero è one of the best coaches in the world, but he and the ’agent need to protect Alcaraz more. His staff needs to look less at money and more at titles and world ranking", Becker added.
"Of course, he receives seven-figure sums for performances,” the six-time Slam tournament winner finally recalled. Protecting him means knowing that he will still earn as much in the coming years, but there is no’è need to do it all in two years".
