Sergio Perez warns Liam Lawson
Interviewed by Mexican media, Sergio Perez è returned to talk about his Red Bull experience, which ended after a full four seasons. In analyzing his adventure, the Mexican driver wanted to warn his replacement Liam Lawson about the difficulties and pressures associated with being Max Verstappen's teammate.
"Racing for Red Bull è an incredible challenge. I knew what I would be up against ever since I signed on. One should not underestimate the level of experience, skillà and mental strength one needs to be able to face this extreme test" began the Mexican driver.
"Having been Max’s teammate at Red Bull, I wouldn’t want to be in Lawson’s shoes. From the outside, you can't understand the level of the challenge that awaits Liam. Anyone who shares the pit box with Verstappen should not underestimate the magnitude of the test they are about to face" added Sergio Perez.
In his four years as a driver at the Milton Keynes-based stable, Checo has won two Constructors’ titles and five personal victories. In addition, he played a pivotal role in Max Verstappen winning his first World Championship title in the 2021 season.
