Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Antonio Conte’s former protégé steps in with a leg up

Emanuele Giaccherini doesn’t mince words
All that is lacking now is the officialdom to sanction the farewell, but the break between Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Napoli, after two and a half seasons, is now close. The modalities in which everything is developing are forò discussing, starting with the words full of disappointment from Antonio Conte: to have his say on the matter, among others, è one of the former pupils of the Salento coach, Emanuele Giaccherini.
"I think Conte has been clear about Kvaraskhelia – he sentenced to 'Radio Kiss Kiss' – . If it were up to him he would be a footballer to be absolutely armored, he tried to keep him together with Di Lorenzo. Però è logical that on the part of the footballer there are other priorities. I think that on his contract we have pulled a little too much, armoring him after the scudetto to make him more and more central to the project".
With the Georgian or not, according to Giaccherini, Napoli will still have to aim at winning the championship: "When injuries and disqualifications arrive there will be a need for those who play less, and so they will have to be always on the ball – he said. “I was coached by him and even when I was not playing I was always ready to get on the field, this è the great strength of Conte".
Born in 1985, Giaccherini played for Antonio Conte at Juventus between 2011 and 2013, winning two Scudetti and an Italian Super Cup. The current Napoli coach relied on him at Euro 2016: Giaccherini also repaid him with a goal in the 2-0 win over Belgium in Lyon on June 13, 2016, in the match valid for the group stage of the European Championship that ended, for Italy, in the quarterfinals against Germany, victorious on penalties.
