Muscle problems for British tennis player

Carlos Alcaraz clinches a pass to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open and does so without having to tire himself out much. The Spaniard, number 2 seed in the men’s draw, took advantage of the withdrawal of Jack Drapier, who was forced to raise the white flag at the end of the second set due to muscle problems.

The Spaniard got off to a pretty good start, leading 5-4 but Jack Drapier managed to fight back and snatch his serve. Carlos Alcaraz does not let up and wins the next two games and closes 7-5. The Englishman asks for the physiotherapist's help at the end of the first set. It is immediately clear that something is wrong. Jack Drapier goes down heavily in the second partial and eventually raises the white flag.

"I feel sorry for him, it was not the way I would have liked to pass the round, but I am happy to have passed the round", the words of Carlos Alcaraz himself at the end of the match. Important, for the Spaniard, to have saved precious energy for the next match.

The match between Tommy Paul and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina è also affected by physical problems. The Spaniard, in fact, hurt his ankle in the first set but stoically stayed on the court. The American has no difficulty in closing the file in three sets, with a triple 6-1.
