On the course of the Emirates Golf Club (par 72), the scene of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Guido Migliozzi delivered a good performance. The Vicenza golfer finished the tournament in eighth place with a total score of 278 strokes (66 73 70 69, -10), thanks to a final round of 69 (-3), characterized by four birdies and only one bogey.
The tournament saw the triumph of Tyrrell Hatton, who claimed his eighth career victory on the DP World Tour, his fifth in a Rolex Series event. The Englishman finished with a total of 273 strokes (71 65 68 69, -15), commanding the UAE by a single stroke over New Zealander Daniel Hillier, second at 274 (-14). The podium è was completed by Hillier’s compatriot Laurie Canter, third with 275 strokes (-13).
In fourth with a score of 276 (-12) were Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, current number three in the world rankings and winner of the last two editions of the tournament, along with Denmark’s Niklas Norgaard.
Hatton, known for his victories in Rolex Series tournaments, took home a prize of $1,530,000, against a total prize pool of $9,000,000.
