Bologna: in comeback the first joy in Champions, but still comes elimination

Champions League, Bologna-Borussia Dortmund 2-1
The seventh attempt è the good one for Bologna, which after two draws and four defeats savors the taste of the first success in the Champions League (the only previous one, when we were still talking about the Champions Cup, dates back to 1964), beating Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at the 'Dall'Ara'. An evening of celebration for Bologna fans, although in the same minutes, given the other results of the evening, è came the certainty of arithmetic elimination from the tournament.
The match, in fact, seemed to take the wrong turn already at the conclusion of the first quarter of an hour: it was on the 13th, in fact, when Holm landed Anton on the development of a corner and referee Gozubuyuk awarded the penalty. After the review in the VAR Room, the decision made on the field veien confirmed and Guirassy does not miss, although Skorupski manages to guess the trajectory of the ball.
As if that were not enough, at 35' Orsolini has to leave due to a muscle injury, leaving his place to Iling Junior. Despite this, Bologna grows and arrives at halftime with only the regret of not scoring. A regret that turns into double joy in the space of 50 seconds, between 71' and 72' first Dallinga closes a sprinting action by beating Kobel on the way out, then Iling Junior himself gives himself a great personal satisfaction by scoringa nearly unguarded goal after Kobel’s rebound on Dallinga.
The comeback of the Felsinei è prestigious and makes one forget, at least for one evening, a participation in the Champions League that so far had been decidedly stingy of satisfaction for the Vincenzo Italiano team. There remains, however, one more match to honor the top European competition at its best, the one on January 29 in Lisbon against Sporting.
