Nicola Brienza explains the period-no

After an exhilarating 2025 start, with successes against Piacenza, Nardò, Orzinuovi and JuVi Cremona, Pallacanestro Cantù seems to have jammed, so much so as to incur, within a few days, two consecutive defeats first at home with Rieti and then on the parquet of Urania Milano. Coach Nicola Brienza tried to frame the reasons for the period-no.

"Right now è it is obvious that we are struggling to make and basket,” said the biancobl&ugrave coach, “and that this has affected us in a blatant way in this game (against Urania Milano, ed.). In the third quarter we were never making a basket, unfortunately this nullified an excellent defensive first half that had allowed us to stay in the waterline".

" Then it wasn&#39t so much the break by Milan, which still made a couple of good baskets and got into a rhythm,” Brienza added, “but we really at one point couldn&#39t make a basket, even building some good shots. It's a moment, the only thing we can do è keep working and stick together".

"Difficult moments must be overcome together, and if today’s approach and will to fight will remain, then when we manage to make a basket with more serenity, then the games will go differently" concluded Brienza, who already from today will work with his players to prepare for Wednesday’s game on Wednesday 29 against Fortitudo Bologna, again away.
