Flavio Cobolli wastes it all in Montpellier

ATP Montpellier: Jesper de Jong-Flavio Cobolli 6-3 7-6

After taking advantage of a Bye in the first round, Flavio Cobolli dropped out of the round of 16 at the Montpellier ATP. The Italian tennis player, in fact, è was defeated in two sets by Dutchman Jesper de Jong with a score of 6-3 7-6, after two hours of play.

In the first set, the Dutchman put the match downhill from the opening bars thanks to a dominant four-games-to-one split. The Italian, for his part, tried to get back into the match, but de Jong è skillfully maintained the break lead until the final 6-3.

The second set è heavily influenced by the blackout that occurred in the middle part of the match due to the heavy rain falling in Montpellier. Remaining most focused è the Roman tennis player who first found the break and then flew away in the score on 5-2.

At that point, forò, de Jong raises the level of his tennis managing to save two set points and then bring himself back to parity at 5-5. The match soon slipped to the tie-break, where the Dutchman took advantage of Cobolli&#39s physical and mental collapse to close the score 7-2.
