Danilo’s words
First words as a Flamengo player for Danilo: "Juventus è was probably the most important club in my career, I built a wonderful history with the fans, the players and the city, where I was very happy for five and a half years. In recent times, with internal changes and some planning they probably realized that I was not suitable, but not for football reasons. That bothered me and made me suffer. From the moment I had this difficulty, which had nothing to do with my abilities on the field, I understood that it was time to look for new horizons because this made me suffer a lot, and I understood that I had to go to a place where I was better”.
"I suffered a lot, I don’t think it’s worth naming names. I wrote a letter in which I spoke from the heart and that says a lot about what I think right now about Juventus, which I will cheer and tiferò for the rest of my life, becauseé there have been incredible and magical moments. Juventus è always been family, è always been each other, è always been the attention to detail and the human aspect. And that has è been a little bit lost in the last six months, and I think the last few results and events are largely due to the loss of that identity, the family, the attention to detail, the attention to the human side of the players, the people who work there. If at the earliest we get back on this path, the results will come back”.
"Central defender è a position that I have completely mastered, having played for a number of years in Italian soccer, a school of defenders and that has added a lot to my career. A position in which I am completely comfortable and in Filipe Luís team many of the building actions go through the central defenders, so è what I like to do, I like to build, find the timing, direct the play. This return to Brazilian soccer I think can also open up new avenues for me, I am always open to new challenges, which doesn’t mean I can’t help out if needed as a right-back, left-back, midfielder.
