De Sciglio scares Juve, which then runs rampant: 4-1 at Empoli

Juventus-Empoli 4-1
Juventus upended Empoli in the match lunch of the 23rd day of Serie A thanks to a double by Kolo Muani in just three minutes and goals by Vlahovic and Conceiçao in the final. At the Allianz Stadium it ended 4-1 for the Bianconeri, who had found themselves down after a few minutes of play due to a goal by De Sciglio for the Tuscans.
After only 4' the great former De Sciglio froze Juventus: Henderson’s corner kick, Colombo’s splash and the Italian defender’s winning header put Empoli ahead. Ten minutes later the guests earned a penalty kick with Di Gregorio felling Maleh but after a very long Var check the referee revoked the penalty for Anjorin’s hand touch at the start of the action. The first real chance for the hosts came on 24’ when Nico Gonzalez in semi reverse committed Vasquez to a great intervention. Seven minutes later Koopmeiners kicked at point-blank range on Yildiz’s beautiful invitation but hit McKennie squarely.
In the second half after another great intervention by Vasquez on Koopmeiners, Juve found the equalizer with Kolo Mani, who, launched by the Dutchman, won a duel with Goglichidze and pierced Vasquez. Three minutes later the French striker reversed the result by deflecting a Weah conclusion from the distance that mocked the Azzurri goalkeeper. In the final, with the guests left in 10 due to Maleh’s expulsion, there’s also glory for Vlahovic (great shot from outside the box) and Conceicao who beats Vasquez at the first post, fixing the score at the final 4-1.
Thanks to this victory, Juventus momentarily overtakes Lazio, engaged Monday night in Cagliari, and moves up to fourth place in the standings with 40 points. Empoli, on the other hand, remains stuck on 21 points, just outside the relegation zone.
