Inter, Alessandro Antonello’s farewell is official
Alessandro Antonello says goodbye to Inter'Inter
As of today è official: "Monday, Feb. 3, Alessandro Antonello, CEO Corporate, is leaving Inter to take on new challenges. As of today, the Chairman, Giuseppe Marotta, who had retained his role as CEO Sport, will be the company’s sole CEO.
"Antonello has made a significant contribution to the development of the Club, covering different roles over a ten-year path,” the Nerazzurri club recalls. “In 2015 he joined Inter as Chief Financial Officer, to expand his responsibilities as Chief Operations Officer in the following season. In 2017 he reached the top of the club when he was appointed Chief Executive Officer, a position he has held to date under two different ownerships. His work è has been appreciated and has guaranteed Inter a managerial contribution, both on the development front of the companyà and on the revenue front. During this period he was able to contribute with his professionalism to the winning of 7 trophies: two Scudetti, two Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups".
“I would like to thank all those who have made these ten years in the Nerazzurri unforgettable,” commented Antonello himself. “From employees to players, from coaches to managers, from sponsors to suppliers. On such a day, my gratitude also goes to the great Nerazzurri family, made up of millions of passionate fans. Working for this glorious Società will be an indelible memory, which makes me proud. I have dedicated every possible hour of my time to Inter and I am happy to have contributed to its history, starting from a difficult period until today, when the commitment of all of us brought the club back to the top in Italy and Europe".
Marotta also spoke: “On behalf of the entire club and the Nerazzurri family, I would like to thank Alessandro for his great dedication to our club. On a personal level, I would also like to acknowledge him for the great human qualities that I have been able to appreciate since the first day I arrived at’Inter. His work has undoubtedly helped all of us to begin this period of victories. Among the many trophies we won together, I think the day we won the Second Star will forever be a memory that unites us”.
