Jakub Mensik throws down the gauntlet to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz

Jakub Mensik issues challenge to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz
Jakub Mensik gave an interview to Ubitennis microphones after his two-set victory over Alexander Bublik in the first round of the Rotterdam ATP 500: "I served well, then the serve è my best shot, I felt it well. Not only today actually, but in general these days here in Rotterdam I am feeling very good, both on serve and with the other shots. I had a good day on serve, when I can put up these numbers definitely è difficult to break me and to find solutions in response for my opponent".
The 2005 Czech class, currently number 47 in the world, wants to continue climbing the ATP ranking: "The main thing will be to stay healthy. Last year I had several problems with my elbow, which did not allow me to play so many tournaments. This year I would like to play the whole season without pain, then at that point we will see how it goes. I would like to reach the top 30".
He then threw down the gauntlet to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz: "I have never faced either of them and have only trained once with Carlos, in Beijing. We’ll see what this season and the upcoming tournaments will bring me, of course I want to try to compete with them, also to see where è my level”.
Just in Rotterdam Mensik could face for the first time Alcaraz, the seeding leader, after Sinner’s forfeit. The Czech and the Spaniard, however, are on opposite sides of the scoreboard, which means they could meet only in a possible final.
