Lecce, Pantaleo Corvino speaks out on the transfer of Patrick Dorgu

Speaking at a press conference, Lecce’s Dt Pantaleo Corvino, among other topics, analyzed the market operations carried out by the Salentini in the just concluded winter session. More specifically, the Giallorossi executive dwelt on the record sale of Patrick Dorgu to Manchester United for almost 40 million euros.

"In this session there's been a lot of work, both incoming and outgoing. We are not people who contradict ourselves, but as the president said for reasons of society;. which I agree with, you go by what you don&#39t;. As for Dorgu, it would have been unrealistic not to do an operation that allowed us to create resources to broaden the field and build a better Lecce. We had committed ourselves to take three roles. One we bought immediately, then the other two came. We managed to finalize a historic negotiation, among the highest in the history of this club" began the Dt of the Salentini.

"Patrick’s departure led to the need to reinforce us in two roles. We had the extra-community place still free and soì we decided to go for N'Dri. We also needed a fullback who was a good element and not just an alternative to Gallo" added the Vernole native.

"The sale of Dorgu è was a choice of necessity, as we made a sacrifice in a department in which we had something extra. We also received significant offers for Krstovic and Tete Morente, but we turned them down. The price of Nikola will be made by the market when we will consider selling him" concluded Pantaleo Corvino.
