New individual milestone for Sofia Goggia

Sofia Goggia joins Team Visa

A year after the Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, Sofia Goggia has reached another individual milestone: thanks to her results on the snows around the world, the champion from Bergamo è in fact became part of Team Visa, the global program that provides athletes and female athletes with the support they need to face their sporting and professional careers in the best possible way.

Sofia Goggia’s name joins those of Giacomo Bertagnolli, an alpine skier who has won eight Paralympic medals, four of them gold; Lara Naki Gutmann, a three-time Italian champion in figure skating; and René De Silvestro, already a Paralympic weightlifter and javelinist who converted to alpine skiing where he è been world champion in the super combined in Lillehammer in 2021.

"I am thrilled to join Team Visa,” said Sofia Goggia, who is busy these days at the World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. I believe in the inspirational power of sport to take us where we really want to be and to face victories and defeats by making the most of each one".
