Cantù, Nicola Brienza: “There is a desire to restart.”

Cantù engaged in an away trip to Cento
Started with the best of premises, given the successes with Nardò, Orzinuovi and JuVi Cremona, the 2025 of Acqua S. Bernardo Cantù has turned into a sporting nightmare: in fact, four consecutive defeats between Jan. 19 and Feb. 2, against Rieti, Urania Milano, Fortitudo Bologna and Forlì respectively, have pushed the Brianzoli away from Udine, the Serie A2 leader. Cantù is 6 points behind the Friulians.
Coach Nicola Brienza, on the eve of the Canturini’s next challenge, Sunday away in Cento, tried to sound the charge: "We come to play this game after a good week of work from the point of view of’application and the desire to do that extra thingù to be able to get out of this clearly not pleasant situation" he said.
"On the part of everyone there’è was great participation and great attention to all the work we have done in the gym – then added the coach biancoblù -. We will go to Cento with the knowledge that it will beà a difficult game, like all those in this championship. They at home, taking advantage of the boost of a small but very hot arena are building their season and have a roster with two Americans of great quality".
"When they play in Cento they are able to have, precisely, an extra push,
– Brienza reiterated. The week of training we had helped us a lot to try to get those things back on track that are misaligned right now, so we go into this game with a great desire to start again".
