The words of Justin Holiday

After a brilliant Serie A debut against Tortona culminating with 14 points in 21', Justin Holiday è was officially presented to the press as the new player of Virtus Bologna.

"He will need more games to better understand European basketball and how to help this team. For now, I è been asked to be consistent, especially defensively, to play more roles, to be myself and on offense take the shots I’m used to taking, trying not to lose balls. I played in Europe so many years ago, but I already knew some of my teammates. Surely with moreù time available I will play better, now forò è it is important to put myself at the service of the team and help as I can" debuted the'former Denver Nuggets.

"My first impression è of enthusiasm, the atmosphere è unbelievable and è the thing I like most about playing in the Euroleague. The fans are amazing, I think that is one of the most beautiful things that led me to consider coming here. You can feel the affection of the people. Basketball in Europe è of the highest level and è very nice to play this kind of basketball. I have played two home games and immediately felt the extraordinary atmosphere there. It's a magical feeling to play in a city that breathes basketball, where people talk about the sport and spur you on to do more," continued the former Dallas Mavericks.

"I think Virtus is a very good team. The success with Tortona è was an example of what we can do if we play together. From my experience in basketball, there are no good and bad teams, of course there are stronger and weaker rosters, but the important thing is to put the collective ahead of the individual against anyone and in any competition,&#quot; added the former Indiana Pacers.

"Loser goes home. Competitions like the Final Eight of the Italian Cup are the ones we all want to face. I can't wait, we will have to take the court with the right approach trying to be ready right away. Against Milan we are preparing as we do for every game. Every match è important for me, it doesn&#39t change who the opponent is. Of course I know and I know the importance of this challenge for Bologna, but this could also help me not to think too much about it. We have to put the right energy hoping that the most important game is the next one" concluded Justin Holiday.
