Italrugby, 33 summoned for France

The coach of Italrugby, Gonzalo Quesada, has issued the list of athletes summoned for the gathering in Rome – scheduled starting Sunday, February 16 – in preparation for Italy-France, a match valid for the third day of the Six Nations 2025 that will be broadcast live on Sky Sport and Rai 2.

33 Azzurri summoned (plus trequarti Mirko Belloni in force at Rovigo, invited) who will gather at the Olympic Preparation Center 'Giulio Onesti', Italy’s headquarters in the capital, to prepare together with the staff of the National Team the challenge against the French.

In the call-up list, having served his disqualification, Mirco Spagnolo returns to reinforce the forward pack where Danilo Fischetti and Niccolò Cannone could reach 50 caps in the match against France. Also present is Matteo Canali, returning after being called up to prepare for the first match of the tournament against Scotland.

Absent are Dino Lamb, due to a left shoulder problem, and Monty Ioane: the Lyon winger suffered a joint edema in his left knee that will not allow him to be present at the gathering in preparation for the match against France. His rehabilitation course will be followed by the medical staff of his club in synergy with that of the national team.
