Zak Brown warns Red Bull and Ferrari
Somewhat by surprise, McLaren opened the new Formula 1 season. The Woking-based team, in fact, è was the first to unveil the new single-seater (MCL39), which took to the track at Silverstone and will be at the start in the next F1 World Championship.
"Today è a big milestone in our journey towards World 2025 – said CEO Zack Brown -. &It&is&great&to&take&on&the&track&for&the&first&time MCL39,&the&c culmination&of&the&team&s&hard&work. We have to be realistic, every team has made progress over the winter. Last year highlighted how much the gaps on the grid had narrowed, which è a positive thing for the sport".
"We believe we have made further strides ahead of the MCL38 that won the championship, but we won’t know what our position will be in relation to the others until qualifying in Australia. We are a team that never stops racing and will give our all to bring both championships back to Woking".
"We are excited to see the MCL39 take to the track for the first time,” added team principal Andrea Stella -. Although last year we ended the season as constructors’ champions, it was a very balanced World Championship and so it will be again this year. We have to stay focused to compete at our best. It's going to be an exciting but incredibly challenging year. The team has worked hard and we have learned a lot from last year’s challenges, we will treasure them to achieve our goals".
