Clostebol case, sentencing arrived: Jannik Sinner suspended 3 months

Jannik Sinner suspended for 3 months
Jannik Sinner has reached a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), acknowledging his partial responsibility for mistakes made by his team. As a result, he will face a three-month suspension from tennis.
WADA's investigation concluded that Sinner had no intention of violating the rules and took no competitive advantage of the two positive tests for minimal traces of clostebol detected in his system.
"This case has haunted me for almost a year and the process could have gone on for much longer, with a decision perhaps only at the end of the year,” Sinner said.
I have always accepted responsibility for my team and recognize that WADA’s strict rules are an important protection for the sport I love. On that basis, I accepted WADA's offer to settle this matter with a 3-month sanction".
Sinner's lawyer, Jamie Singer of Onside Law, commented: "I am happy that Jannik can finally put this difficult experience behind him. WADA has confirmed the facts as determined by the Independent Tribunal. È it is clear that Jannik had no intention, was not aware of the situation, and did not gain any competitive advantage. Unfortunately, the mistakes made by some members of his team led to this situation".
