Jannik Sinner: here are the tournaments he’ll be skipping after disqualification

After his three-month disqualification for the Clostebol case, Jannik Sinner will have to forgo a number of prestigious events including as many as four Masters 1000s, in addition to the ATP 500s in Doha and Munich. The Italian will be able to return to the circuit for the Rome Masters 1000, which kicks off on May 7.

According to the WADA official statement, in fact, "Sinner will serve his period of ineligibilityà from Feb. 9, 2025 to 11 p.m.59 on May 4, 2025 (which includes a credit for four days previously served by the athlete while on provisional suspension). According to article 10.14.2 of the Code, Sinner can return to official training activities from April 13, 2025".

The world number one, therefore, will have to skip the two U.S. Masters 1000s on cement in Indian Wells and Miami, scheduled for March, and the European Masters 1000s in Monte Carlo and Madrid on clay, set for early April and between late April and early March, respectively.

The South Tyrolean will also be unable to participate in the Doha ATP 500, on cement, starting Monday, Feb. 17, and the Munich ATP 500, on clay, scheduled for April 14-20. Sinner will also have to forgo the MGM Rewards Slam, an exhibition in Las Vegas in early March that will feature a number of stars from the men's and women's circuits including Alexander Zverev and Aryna Sabalenka.
