Andrea Vavassori, doubles player who played a leading role in Italy's Davis Cup triumph with Jannik Sinner and the other Azzurri, sent a message to the world number one, suspended Saturday for three months by Wada to close the Clostebol case.
In an Instagram story, the tennis player from Turin expressed all his support for the South Tyrolean: "You will come back stronger and more pissed off than before…. Those who know you know that you have a mentalityà different from others".
"The thing that really surprises me è how you have managed to handle this whole thing and the fact that you have never responded to criticism from people who have really crossed the line for quite some time. More and more respect for you, come on Jan", he concluded.
Jannik Sinner has reached a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), acknowledging his partial responsibility for the mistakes made by his team. As a result, he will face a three-month suspension from tennis.
