Eusebio Di Francesco disappointed with Venezia’s result

At the 81'81; it was 0-0, then darkness: Venezia returned with many regrets, and with a ranking still stuck at 16 points, from the Marassi away match against Genoa. The Grifone’s goals, in fact, came thanks to Pinamonti at 82'82' and Cornet at 86', for a 2-0 final that definitely leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of the Lagunari’s coach, Eusebio Di Francesco.

At the microphones of 'Sky Sport', the Venezia coach tried to explain what went wrong: "I think the changes made the difference – he said, Genoa inserted strong players, who decided the match. We also put our own into it by missing the markings on the first goal and erring a lot in the last twenty meters, where we lacked polish.

"I don’t want to think about the January market, I have to grow the group I have at my disposal – added Di Francesco, when questioned about how useful an extra reinforcement could have been in the winter session -. We have to reckon with realityà we have 16 points, we have to do moreù if we want to save ourselves".

Venice, with 22 goals scored, è the third worst attack in Serie A: "We have a problem from this point of view – confirmed Di Francesco -. Kike has given depth to the midfield, but lacks polish in front: we have players capable in running and dribbling, we just have to prove it on the field".
