Gabi is the A1 Series MVP of the Month

Brazilian speaks again the ’MVP of the Month of the Tigot&agrave A1 Series. After the November title, Gabriela “Gabi” Braga Guimaraes also wins the Best Player of the Month award in January. Surpassed by a plebiscite of votes Paola Egonu, Britt Herbots and Erblira Bici.

In the month of January, the Carioca-born dunker of the Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano continued to shine, showing off her qualities not only in the big match against Scandicci, in which she è was named MVP, but also in the other matches, scoring 66 points with a sumptuous 49.1% offensive efficiency and a 50.1% reception efficiency.

Looking back at her season, it is not surprising to see her at the top of the percentage rankings, demonstrating the quality of her game, perfectly integrated into coach Santarelli’s system. In fact, Gabi turns out to be the best for defensive percentages among female dunks (third considering all roles) with 49% efficiency and third, behind teammates Zhu (47.6%) and Lanier (46.6%), for offensive efficiency with 46.5%.

The MVP of the Month award will be presented at the match between Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano and Honda Olivero Cuneo on Saturday, Feb. 22. Gabi will, of course, be part of January’s Team of the Month, which will be revealed later this week.
