Yann Sommer goes ko

With just a few days to go before the league match against Genoa, bad news comes from the infirmary for Inter Milan and Simone Inzaghi. The instrumental examinations Yann Sommer underwent, in fact, showed a fracture of the head of the proximal phalanx of the thumb of his right hand, which will keep him out for about a month.

"Yann Sommer è underwent clinical and instrumental examinations this morning. Tests at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano showed a fracture of the head of the proximal phalanx of the thumb of the right hand. In the coming days will be decided the type of therapy to be followed" this is the medical report issued by the Nerazzurri club.

The former Bayern Munich goalkeeper will miss several crucial fixtures for Inter such as the Coppa Italia quarterfinal match with Lazio, the Scudetto clash with Napoli, the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 and possibly the return.

It will be up to Josep Martinez, therefore, not to make Sommer&#39s absence a burden. The Spanish goalkeeper, bought from Genoa for 15 million in the past summer market session, will thus have the chance to showcase his skills, after a first part of the season marked by only one appearance in the Coppa Italia against Udinese.
