Federica Brignone wins again, fourth place for Sofia Goggia

Twenty-four hours pass on the Giovanni Alberto Agnelli slope in Sestriere, but the substance, for Federica Brignone, does not change: fourth after the first run, the Valle d’Aosta girl in fact makes herself the protagonist of a splendid second run, which allows her to overtake Alice Robinson and Lara Gut-Nehrami (fallen instead the third of the first fraction, Britt Richardson) and thus conquer the encore in the World Cup giant slalom, thus repeating the success of Friday.

Behind Federica Brignone, who completes the two runs with a total time of 2'08"81, are just Gut-Behrami at 77 hundredths and Robinson at 79 hundredths. In fourth place was a great Sofia Goggia, who after a few too many uncertainties in a first run that ended in 17th place went wild in the second run, climbing up to fourth place.

Between third place and the Bergamasque there are 39 hundredths, but the satisfaction of finishing among the top five è a lot. Goggia completed the run in 1'05"57: only Brignone was able to do better, with a time 11 hundredths faster than her national teammate, whom she embraced at the conclusion of the race.

The only bitterness for the blue colors in the second run è that of Marta Bassino, who was unable to complete the split due to a mistake in the very last part of the course. In the overall standings, Brignone stretches into the lead with 999 points, 190 more than Lara Gut-Nehrami. In the specialty ranking, however, Alice Robinson is first with 440 points, Brignone è second at 400.
