ATP Dubai: Luca Nardi makes up for Fucsovics and flies to the round of 16

Luca Nardi's adventure at the Dubai ATP 500 begins on the right foot. The Pesaro-born player, who was re-selected to the draw as a lucky loser due to the forfeit of Jack Draper, overcame the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics, world number 88, in a comeback, defeating him with a final score of 1-6 6-2 6-3 after two hours and twelve of play.
Upset start for the Italian who gave up the serve in his first service round and immediately went down 0-3. Nardi tried to fight back but in the sixth game Fucsovics again robbed him of his service at the fourth good opportunity, before closing the partial 6-1.
The Marche player, however, does not let it get him down: in the second set, from 2-2, he threads a partial run of four consecutive games with which he brings the match back into perfect balance. In the third and decisive set, after an exchange of breaks at the beginning, to make the difference è again a partial of three games in a row by Nardi with which he closes the'match on the 6-3 final.
Nardi thus enters the round of 16 of the 'Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships' where he will meet Belgian Zizou Bergs, number 56 in the ATP rankings:
