Antonio Faravelli, a winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria, in Oltrepò Pavese, as well as owner of Cantine Vitea and promoter of the "Golf and Wine 1895" initiative, visited the International Identità Golose Milan 2025 Congress.

Faravelli met with a variety of people, to whom, privately, he presented the project to relaunch the Golf and Wine 1895 brand: he also did so to representatives of some of the wineries present, arousing great interest. The ’objective è to enhance Italian territories and their local productions through a brand that combines sports, golf and tourism, acting as a driving force to promote Made in Italy internationally.

Already in 1908, Antonio Faravelli’s great-grandfather – hunter, winemaker and producer – used to transport his wines from Montù Beccaria to the Lomellina to attend hunting trips and convivial dinners. His table companions included the famous composer Giacomo Puccini, a great lover of good food and an admirer of the local wines of the Faravelli family, whose wine business originated in 1895.

Among Antonio Faravelli’s most significant encounters at the congress stands out the one with Massimo Bottura, an internationally renowned chef, who had a chance to chat with the winemaker-golfist, a great admirer of his. The latter now hopes to be able to supply his wines to the star chef’s renowned restaurants. "It would be a dream" he admits.
