F1 Bahrain test: Lando Norris ahead of everyone, fourth Charles Leclerc
Lando Norris è was the fastest on the first day of Formula One testing in Bahrain. Taking to the track in the afternoon, the McLaren driver set the best time of the day in 1'30"430, reflecting about a tenth and a half to George Russell (Mercedes).
Third fastest time for Max Verstappen in the Red Bull, who finished ahead of the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, four tenths behind Norris, but long in the lead in the afternoon session, which was interrupted by an electrical blackout and then resumed and extended by an hour to make up for lost time.
Completing the top 5 is Carlos Sainz in the new Williams, ahead of Pierre Gasly, at the wheel of the Alpine, and a surprising Kimi Antonelli, the best of the morning session. Finally, Liam Lawson (Red Bull), Alexander Albon (Williams) and Yuki Tsunoda (Racing Bulls) round out the top 10.
