Federica Brignone ends the first day of the downhill in Kvitfjell with a smile. Despite her fifth place, the skier from Valle d’Aosta è managed to increase her lead in the overall World Cup standings over Lara Gut-Behrami, who did not è go beyond 12th place. "I am satisfied, especially with the first part. I did really well on the first corner that gives you all the speed for the flat, so what allowed me to be fast until halfway through the race. I also did well in the middle section, then underneath I couldn’t do exactly what I wanted and I lost all the speedà" debuted the blue skier.

"On a slope like thisì downhill, I have to make the perfect run if I want to be in front. However, I’m okay with thatì. Today the snow è harder and more beautiful. I found a better response of the ski, I è liked it more and I was more comfortable. These are the conditions I prefer moreù" added the Milan native.

"There are still so many races left. I wanted to do well and defend myself in these races. We still have two more this weekend I want to already think about tomorrow’s downhill to try to do well what I didn’t è come today in the final part, which could be favorable for me" concluded Federica Brignone.
