Sassari, Sardara recalls scudetto 10 years later

The president of Banco di Sardegna Sassari, Stefano Sardara, in the Resto del Carlino recalled 10 years after that Scudetto final won precisely against Reggio Emilia, the challenge of this Saturday’s advance (8:45 p.m., live on DAZN): "The memory of a historic moment, memorable not only for the companyà but for an entire cityà. That certainly created a trailing effect for our brand that still lasts. It was a very long, very tough series in every way. Reggio had individualities superior to ours and more basketball intelligence; we were good, even in individual episodes, at making the most of all our genius and unruliness. It was small details that decided it”.
In’actuality, however, how will Sassari present itself at PalaBigi? “Certainly very different from the one at the beginning of the season. We still pay for the mistakes we made, but now our roster è definitely better. Not è the è last playoff train, in my opinion; but certainly è an important opportunity. Because it's the outside wins that give the biggest boost. Certainly we will be motivated. In the face of a very strong opponent”.
Sardara also emphasized the’importance of projects such as the Club House in Sassari and the new Casa Biancorossa in Reggio Emilia: “If Pallacanestro Reggiana succeeds in realizing this goal it will be good news for all of Italian basketball. As far as we are concerned, in addition to the historic clubhouse, in front of PalaSerradimigni, which we will soon expand to 8000 seats, we have our store, various kinds of commercial activities related to it, on-site facilities for the families of the boys from our nursery. More generally we invest substantial resources to be 'more than a club' as è the Dinamo motto. Of course there is a lot of expense, but a fundamental social return that then also brings in more revenue and more sponsors”.
