Allianz and International Olympic Committee extend partnership until 2032

After the unforgettable Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Allianz and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that they will extend their global Olympic and Paralympic partnership (TOP Partnership) for another four years until 2032.

As a Worldwide Insurance Partner, Allianz will promote the Olympic and Paralympic Movements at two more editions of the Games: the French Alps 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Australia, where so many athletes under the eyes of billions of fans will come together in peaceful competition in the 70 countries where the company ’is active worldwide. Allianz manages risks, provides protection for organizers, participants and spectators, and supports athletes by conducting mentoring activities and offering professional opportunities. The 2030 and 2032 Games will be held in two of Allianz&#39s core markets, France and Australia, which contributed more than 10 percent to Allianz&#39s operating profit in 2024.

In addition, since 2006 Allianz has supported the International Paralympic Committee, and since 2021 è “Worldwide Paralympic Partner”. The partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements dovetails with Allianz’s “Power of Unity” program, which helps bring individuals and organizations together to promote inclusive prosperity through unity, connection and mutual understanding.

According to independent research conducted on behalf of the IOC, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were watched by’84 percent of the potential global audience. This is an all-time record. This figure is equivalent to about five billion people: as a result, more than half the world’s population followed the inspiring feats of Olympic athletes and the cohesive magic of the Paris Olympic Games.

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games were the most important and best ever, and will be a true benchmark for all future editions. È every participation record was broken, with as many as 169 delegations and 4,400 athletes in attendance, and the Games were broadcast by 225 media rights holders, the highest number ever. The Paralympic Games are increasingly watched globally, with an increase over Tokyo 2020 of 83 percent of live TV hours, without taking into account the host country market.
