The media breakthrough of Jannik Sinner. The countdown to the’Eurovision Song Contest 2025 has begun: the official lineup for the two semifinals, which promise to deliver excitement and spectacle, has finally been announced, and the names of some of the guests have been named: among them are Jannik Sinner, who said no to Sanremo, but has decided to participate in the continental singing kermis at the urging of his new management.

The first night will be held Tuesday, May 13, with Lucio Corsi performing out of competition with “I wanted to be a tough guy”, a song that has already qualified directly for the May 17 final thanks to Italy’s privileged place among the Big 5. Its performance, introduced by an appearance by the world’s No. 1 tennis player, will be sandwiched between that of Belgium, with Red Sebastian and “Strobe Lights” and Azerbaijan, which will present “Run With U” by Mamagama.

Opening the first semifinal will be Iceland with the duo VÆB and the energetic track “Róa”. Eyes will also be on Gabry Ponte, who will represent San Marino with “Tutta l’Italia”, trying to bring the country back to the finals after a long absence. The second semifinal, to be held on Thursday, May 15, will feature Australia opening with Go-Jo and “Milkshake Man”. The evening will conclude with the ’performance of Erika Vikman for Finland, who will present the provocative “Ich Komme”.

The May 17 final will be broadcast in prime time on Rai 1 and hosted by Sandra Studer and Hazel Brugger, with Michelle Hunziker as host, becoming the first presenter to present both the Sanremo Festival and Eurovision outside Italy.
