Lautaro Martinez officiates his absence in derby with AC Milan

Lautaro Martinez will not take the field in the derby d’first leg of the Coppa Italia against AC Milan. The Nerazzurri captain, who is back from a muscle soreness in his flexors, announced the forfeit via social.

“I have done my best to be there tomorrow night, but unfortunately times are tight – wrote the Toro, back in training on the field, in a post on Instagram – The season is long and our goals are still many. See you soon on the field”.

On the eve of the Coppa Italia match against AC Milan, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi spoke about the momentum of his team, at the top of the league and still in the running on all fronts. The Nerazzurri are still without Lautaro Martinez: “We aim to have him available on Saturday in Parma, but we have to see day by day. You make tables in your head, then setbacks can come.”

“He’s fine, he’s working, had it been for him we all know he always wants to be there but unfortunately he had the problem with Atalanta,” the Piacenza coach said again about the Argentine, who wants to be 100 percent at the most important moment of the season.
