Twist at Ternana: exonerated Ignazio Abate

New twist in Terni: Ignazio Abate has been exonerated by Ternana president D’Alessandro. Fatal was the 4-1 defeat suffered against Lucchese, a knockout that could cost the Rossoverde team, currently second in the standings in the Girone B of Serie C, direct promotion to Serie B.
Already last February Abate had been one step away from the’exoneration, then foiled by the locker room that had convinced the ownership to retrace its steps. Now the decision is final.
In his place should arrive Fabio Liverani, who had already been optioned by the president last January. Liverani returns to Terni after his first experience in 2017: according to rumors he will sign a contract until 2027.
