Christof Innerhofer mocks Dominik Paris and takes the tricolor

Christof Innerhofer is back on the tricolor downhill throne: the experienced South Tyrolean won in the Italian Championships race hosted by the La VolatA track in Passo San Pellegrino with a time of 1’18″19: for the 40-year-old from the Fiamme Gialle it is the third tricolor title in downhill, after those won in 2016 in Sella Nevea and in 2023 in La Thuile.

On the finish line in Passo San Pellegrino, Innerhofer was 14 hundredths of a second ahead of Giovanni Franzoni (Fiamme Gialle), with Dominik Paris (Carabinieri) completing the podium with a 0″20 gap. Just behind them, fourth place was Nicolò Molteni (Army) at 0″59 with Benjamin Alliod (Army) fifth at 0″59.

Seventh place overall gives Emanuel Lamp (AmateursportClub Gsiesertal) the Italian youth title, with Luca Ruffinoni (Fiamme Gialle) silver medalist and Glauco Antonioli (Sc Bormio) bronze.

The tricolor downhill was also valid for the Grand Prix Italia Dicoflor, the circuit dedicated to athletes not included in the federal teams.

Emanuele Buzzi (Carabinieri) with eighth place won the stage victory, followed by Ruffinoni and Gabriel Masneri (Gb Ski Club).
