Coppa Italia 2024-2025: Milan-Inter, the probable lineups

Tuesday, April 2, at 8:45 p.m. at the San Siro Stadium, will be staged Milan-Inter, the derby of theMadonnina worth the semifinal first leg of the Coppa Italia.
The two teams come to the challenge at different times. L’Inter, after the 2-1 victory against Udinese, is in the midst of the race for the Scudetto and is trying to keep up the pace in all competitions, while Milan, after the defeat to Napoli, is experiencing a period of ups and downs. Despite two previous consecutive wins, the race for fourth place in the league now seems out of reach, and the Coppa Italia represents one of the last chances to save the season.
Looking ahead to the derby, the two coaches already have clear ideas for the likely lineups. Sergio Conceição, the Milan coach, finds himself with his back against the wall. The Coppa Italia is now the only competition in which his team has chances for significant success, and the choices are crucial. Abraham should be confirmed as central forward, with Leao, Pulisic and Jimenez ready to support him. In the midfield, Reijnders should drop back to flank Fofana, while the defense will consist of Thiaw and Gabbia, with Hernandez and Walker on either side. Maignan, as always, will be the starting goalkeeper.
On the other side, Simone Inzaghi is determined to leave no stone unturned in the race for all titles. Inter will come up with a three-man defense consisting of Bisseck, De Vrij and Bastoni, the latter returning after being disqualified. In the middle of the field, Calhanoglu, Frattesi and Barella will be called upon to rule the game, with Carlos Augusto and Darmian on the flanks, replacing Dumfries, who will be unavailable. In attack, the pair of Thuram and Correa will prepare to run wild, with Lautaro Martinez still out due to injury.
